◎简 介
改编自直木赏作家角田光代的同名小说。专心在家育儿的主妇里沙子（柴崎幸），正为了小恶魔期的女儿头痛不已，虽然丈夫・阳一郎（田边诚一）下班后会稍微帮忙，但育儿的疲倦和旁人的意见让里沙子日渐失去信心。正当里沙子焦头烂额之时，没想到竟被选为候补的国民参审员，即使是候补，也得每天出席。无法拒绝国民义务的里沙子，只好每天将女儿送去婆家，再至法庭聆讯。这次的案件，是一位年龄和里沙子相近的年轻妈妈・安藤水穗（水野美纪），「蓄意」将女儿溺毙的虐童案。听着被告丈夫・安藤寿士（真岛秀和）的证词，即使大部分的参审员都认为安藤是个好好先生，但里沙子却有种说不出的疑惑。而接下来夫妻双方家长的证词，更让里沙子宛如看见自己的人生。
