◎简 介
农学院毕业的文星雨来到蔡祖森的花圃工作,蔡希望星雨能培育出新品种并使花圃发展壮大.但计划遭到蔡的独生子蔡培伦的反对,他认为将土地出售利润更大.星雨与其相商未果,却意外地认识了培伦公司的出纳小姐宋小瑜.
培伦对宋早有心意,看到星雨与小瑜接近便醋意大发,遂劝母亲相助想让星雨失去花圃的工作.所幸蔡父不同意,培伦一时无可奈何.正当星雨和小瑜的感情日增之际,因为培伦资助了小瑜父亲一笔急需贷款,而引起星雨的误会,与小瑜发生争执,星雨愤然辞职,小瑜痛苦异常.蔡祖森认为是培伦逼走了星雨,大发雷霆,不幸中风住院.星雨得知实情后,心怀愧疚,终于在自己老师的劝说下,回到了花圃并找到小瑜,请求原谅自己的一时冲动,在小瑜一番冷嘲热讽的故意报复后,两人重归于好.
培伦见星雨和小瑜更加亲密,于是逼宋父还债.宋父东借西凑如数奉还,培伦颓废异常.一位对他倾慕已久的女职员何喜秋百般安慰,并鼓励他向父亲认错.蔡父起初不接受儿子的悔意,经星雨从中斡旋,才使风波平息.适值星雨培育的新品种发出蓓蕾,众人欢喜.星雨与小瑜的感情结成”爱的蓓蕾”,培伦与喜秋的爱也开始抽枝发芽。
