◎简 介
新加坡的独立步步艰辛。日军飞机突袭新加坡，使狮城陷入动乱。张天鹏（李南星）和张天鹰（陈祎伦）兄弟因助抗日激怒日军。天鹏逃往印尼，天鹰却惨遭日军屠杀。天鹰的孩子张敏（陈凤玲）和张佳（陈泓宇）在逃亡时失散。张敏认识了洪当勇（陈邦鋆）和洪明慧 (欧萱)，而他们陪她走过了最落魄的岁月。张佳则被胡为人（陈汉玮）所救，并认这个害死自己父亲的人为父。张佳改名胡佳，成为黑道一霸。天鹏的儿子张晏（陈罗密欧）学成归国成为检察官，与胡佳大相迳庭。他们的父亲曾经出生入死，但他们却卷入了无法解决的纠纷。本剧描绘了日据时代到战后的时事变迁和许多历史性事件，并展现了建国一代对国家的付出和爱国精神，以及他们蜕变这篇土地的艰巨过程。
